Rapeh Ritual

Lion’s Gate Portal

8.8.25 | 5-9PM | Baltimore City, MD

Join us for a sacred gathering held in a private home near Morgan State University in Baltimore City, as we reconnect to the lineages of freedom and resilience that live within and around us. This is a space to remember our wholeness and root ourselves more deeply in the path of collective liberation.

Facilitated by Charlotte Duerr James, teacher and medicine woman; Gabrielle Williams, teacher, medicine woman, and holistic healer; and Hamilton Garces, medicine man and ceremonial sound guide—this evening weaves ritual, embodiment, and ancestral practices to support your continued becoming.

Our time together will include:

Opening Circle + Intention Weaving
We’ll begin by grounding in the space, tending to our nervous systems, and naming our intentions as individuals and a collective. This invocation honors both the seen and unseen forces that guide our healing and liberation.

Sacred Rapeh Ritual
We will share in a ceremonial experience with Rapeh, a sacred Amazonian tobacco snuff traditionally used to cleanse the mind, clear energetic blockages, and open the heart. Offered in reverence, this medicine invites clarity, release, and grounding. (Note: Rapeh is legal and non-psychoactive.)

Sound Journey
As night settles, we’ll enter into a Sound Journey led by Michele Blu. This sound journey helps carry us deeper into our connection with Grandfather Rapeh, ancestors, and Self. We will close the journey with gentle movement and somatic awareness practice to return grounded and renewed.

Closing Community Circle
We will close in circle, integrating the evening through gratitude, reflection, and the sealing of intentions. What we cultivate in community becomes part of the larger field of healing and liberation beyond this gathering.
